Rebecca Hahn

Dr. Rebecca Hahn received her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis and completed her internal medicine training (intern, resident/assistant Chief Resident) and cardiology fellowship at The New York Hospital, New York (Cornell Campus).  She was recruited to Columbia University, Irving Medical Center to work on valvular heart disease in 2007 and in 2009 joined the Columbia | Interventional Cardiovascular Care (CICC) full time as the first Director of Interventional Echocardiographer for the Structural Heart & Valve Center.  She is currently Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, and Chief Scientific Officer of the Echo Core Lab at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. 

Dr. Hahn has dedicated her career to echocardiography and valvular heart disease.  She has published over 450 articles and 11 book chapters on echocardiography and valvular heart disease, and has been on the writing committees for 4 American Society of Echocardiography recommendations/guidelines and 4 Academic Research Consortium (ARC) documents.  She was the National PI for the SCOUT Trial (Trialign Annuloplasty Device) and is the National Co-PI for the Triscend II Pivotal Trial (EVOQUE Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement device).  In addition, she has been the Grand Rounds speaker at over 40 different institutions, and has lectured in over 15 different countries around the world.  

Dr. Hahn is a fellow of the ASE, and has served as a past Board of Director for the American Society of Echocardiography, committee chair of the Continuing Medical Education Committee as well as the Industry Roundtable Committee,  and is currently a member of the American College of Cardiology Competency Management Committee and Scientific Sessions Planning Committee.
